Installing Raw/Write :
1. Click on ftp://ftp.pamarsystems.com/raw/rawread.exe.
You will be asked if you would like to open this file or save it, chose
to save it. When prompted to save the
file enter C:\Windows\Command\rawread.exe
for win 9x and C:\WINNT\system32\rawread.exe for win 2k, xp
2. Click on ftp://ftp.pamarsystems.com/raw/rawrite.exe.
You will be asked if you would like to open this file or save it, chose
to save it. When prompted to save the
file enter C:\Windows\Command\rawrite.exe
for win 9x. and C:\WINNT\system32\rawrite.exe for win 2k, xp
3. Click on ftp://ftp.pamarsystems.com/raw/rawrite.reg.
You will be asked if you would like to open this file or save it, chose
open it.
Rawread and rawrite are now installed.
Using Raw/Write :
Creating Floppy Diskettes From Disk Images
1. Insert a blank floppy disk
2. Locate the image file
3. Double click the image file and press enter when prompted.
4. Wait until you see the done message then close the window
Creating Disk Images From Floppy Diskettes
1. Insert the floppy disk that you wish to make an Image of into your
floppy drive.
2. Click the Start button
3. Click the Run button
4. At the Run prompt type: rawread c:\windows\temp\[File Name] A:
5. Raread will create an image file located in the c:\windows\temp
directory, zip this file up and ftp or e-mail it to Pamar Systems
What is a disk image :
A disk image is a file that contains all the raw data on a disk in the original track and sector format.
Using a disk image enables you to send diskettes that are not MS-DOS format via FTP or EMail and then
recreate them in their original format and integrity.
